I’ve been waiting for The Penguin since it was first announced that it was going to be a series and I can tell you that it is absolutely as good as I expected. He was a standout in The Batman and is even better in the lead role. Also, Cristin Milioti is just as good as Sofia Falcone.

It’s a great crime drama in its own right

The two of them fight to find out who is Gotham’s number one gangster and “bring order to all the chaos.” Some people were worried that a supporting character like Penguin wouldn’t be able to carry the show and wouldn’t work without Batman or Bruce Wayne, but have no fear because this is more than just a villainous character in a superhero series. It’s a violent and gritty crime drama that’s a lot of fun to watch. I hope we get more stories like this from this world.
