Story

Remake of Le bureau des légendes (2015)

We need to address the elephant in the room. Namely, that in order to meet the growing demand for streaming content, creators on this side of the pond are borrowing entire shows from abroad. This year, 2024, France has been the source of two major North American releases, namely High Potential (a clone of the hit French series known as “HPI”) and now, with THE AGENCY 2024, a clone of Le Bureau Des Legends (one of the most popular French TV shows of all time, which aired from 2015-2020).

Cloning and repatriating doesn’t always guarantee an exact replication

For example, many critics consider the Western remake of HPI, High Potential, to be a real improvement over the original. Based on the first episode of Agency, this critic believes the show should at least live up to its iconic foreign counterpart. The script is inventive, and Fassbender (another A-list movie star making the move to the small screen) rarely disappoints.

But so far, so good
