A cross-generational story about families and their special place, love, loss, laughter, and life. Based on the cartoon “Here” Written by Richard McGuire First published as a strip in the comic book magazine Raw in 1989, and expanded into a 300-page graphic novel in 2014. At one point early in the film, Richard’s father lists several towns that he believes are along the Pennsylvania Turnpike, when in reality they are all the towns along Interstate 80 in PA, which hadn’t even been built yet. It deserves more recognition for how unique and incredible the story is. This movie may be slower, but that doesn’t stop it from being a great movie! The camera is shot from start to finish in the same location as Richard Young (Tom Hanks) and Margaret (Robin Write) age over the years! This movie is full of life and emotion! I can’t express how unique and magical this movie was, and director Robert Zemeckis did it justice! The story, the emotion, the character, the life! This movie had it all!
